The Thoughts In Your Head
At some point, you've talked yourself out of something.
Whether it was on purpose or by accident.
Most likely, it was accidentally. Still the same, you've done it.
Whether its going for a promotion at your job, a new car, another lap to run on the track….
…..or reaching out to talk to someone about your business.
Oh yeah….many can relate to that one.
So here's the deal- we grow up leeching on to these “identities”.
You know… “I'm very shy” or “I'm just a wife”, “I'm too young” “Im too old”.
Those kind of identities. You latch onto them and they stay in your head.
These identities dictate what type of actions you take.
In other words, if you keep telling yourself you're an unsuccessful introvert….guess how you'll act?
Now I know, you don't want to “fake it till you make it!”
Listen-I'm NOT telling you to be fake.
As a matter of fact, never portray fake-ness in any avenue of your life.
You attract what you are….right?
Instead, you need to act as IF.
And they only way you can do so is by changing the story you tell yourself.
This weekend. I had a wonderful chance to reconnect with a great mentor of mine.
Unfortunately I missed my shot due to getting in my own way mentally.
However, there is a true silver lining to the story!
